As can be seen throughout the history of our company, NUREL is strongly committed to R & D & I, focusing great efforts in this area, with the aim of continuing to consolidate its leadership and differentiation. Following this philosophy, our entity is participating in the joint public-private R & D & I project entitled "Polymeric materials with thermal and electrical properties" tailor made "based on PA6", whose acronym in Spanish is CONDUCMYDE, with 4 years of duration. The scientific-technical objective of this project is the development of new polymeric materials based on Polyamide 6 (PA6) with controlled thermal and electrical properties, as well as to develop and adapt technological innovations and pertinent modifications to its manufacturing process (extrusion-compounding).

AITIIP Technical Centre also participates in the project, it is a private, non-profit organization in Zaragoza, whose main purpose is part of the promotion of technological activities for the transformation of plastic and the manufacture of moulds and dies.

The purpose of the materials researched will be to cover applications in plastic parts to respond to a demand that is accentuated mainly in the electrical-electronic sector and automotive, replacing pieces currently manufactured in metal (electrical properties) and / or ceramics (thermal properties ). These new materials will mean an increase in the product offer that NUREL currently offers to the market. The creation of niche markets that opens to these new materials as well as the flexibility and adaptation of the production process represent the main strategic objective of NUREL.

The project, reference RTC-2016-5055-5,  is financed by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of the Government of Spain within the State Program of Research, Development and Innovation Oriented to the Challenges of the Society within the framework of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2013-2016 and under the call RETOS - COLLABORATION 2016 (whose objective is to promote technological development, innovation and quality research).
