RetortABLE PACKAGING POLYAMIDE SOLUTIONS
Retort packaging demands high-performance polymers capable of withstanding extreme conditions of temperature, pressure, and humidity without compromising safety or performance. These multilayer flexible films, used in pouches, vacuum bags, and tray lids, must endure temperatures between 116 °C and 121 °C under pressure, ensuring reliable protection of the packaged content.
The retort process plays a critical role in eliminating harmful microorganisms, extending shelf life while preserving nutritional value. To meet these challenges, NUREL has developed a range of high-viscosity polyamides and copolyamides that offer outstanding hydrolysis resistance and retain their mechanical integrity after sterilization and retort cycles.
These materials are specifically engineered for demanding applications such as ready meals, baby food, pet food, and sauces, where long-term durability, barrier functionality, and thermal stability are essential.
