In its commitment to sustainability and circularity, NUREL has been awarded a grant for research and experimental development in the circular economy from the Government of Aragón, thanks to its project for a polysaccharide extraction production plant from algae.

These grants aim to encourage the implementation of business projects in Aragón that involve experimental development and/or industrial research related to processes or products, with the goal of adapting them to the circular economy model.

NUREL has launched an innovative project to produce biodegradable biopolymers from red algae from the Cantabrian Sea. This initiative aims to reduce the carbon footprint and promote the circular economy, offering a sustainable alternative to conventional plastics.

This project reinforces NUREL’s commitment to sustainability and innovation within the plastic industry.
