Innovating to compete: NUREL’s vision for the future of industry

Last week, our colleague María José Alfonso, Director of Innovation in Polymers and Packaging at NUREL, took part in a forum organised by Heraldo de Aragón on the role of innovation in business competitiveness.

During the debate, she highlighted that Aragón is positioning itself as a region with a “strong track record of innovation”, outperforming the national average and catching up with the rest of Europe, although there are significant differences between companies depending on their size.

In this regard, she highlighted the main challenges facing businesses: access to finance, skilled talent and new technologies.

She also highlighted the role of grants as a further tool for fostering collaboration within the value chain and facilitating the development of innovative solutions with an impact on the international market.
