The Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), an entity attached to the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, has approved 161 new RD&I projects.

Among these projects is AGROACTIFILM, a project in which REYENVAS and NUREL collaborate, whose main objective is to develop active agricultural mulch films for red fruit crops with antifungal and antibotrytis properties, through the controlled release of natural substances incorporated in the film itself. Soil biodegradable films will also be developed, manufactured from our INZEA biopolymers; as well as other polyethylene-based films.

This project aims to cover one of the most demanded environmental needs in agriculture today, avoiding the use of toxic fungicides. Additionally, it will provide an economic advantage to the farmer by reducing the use of TIF plastics, as well as an environmental advantage in the case of biodegradable films.
