Thermally insulated nylon fibers
XTRA-THERMIC is a hollow nylon fiber that allows to confer a greater comfort, thermal insulation and lightness to sportswear. They are especially recommended for sports garments that need protection against low temperatures, such as first layer ski wear, running, winter cycling or hiking garments.
NUREL XTRA-THERMIC Fibers thermally insulated fibers are available in nylon 6 and 66.

This XTRA-THERMIC nylon thread has been specially designed for thermal protective clothing.
In addition, thanks to its hollow section, this fiber is approximately 20% lighter than other fibers with a similar decitex, bringing extra comfort to sports practice. XTRA-THERMIC is especially recommended for first layer garments in contact with the skin in low temperature conditions.
Moisture transport and comfort properties are permanent and inherent to the fiber.

How XTRA-Thermic works?
Our circular and hollow cross-section has been specially designed to improve the thermal insulation of the nylon fibers, maintaining a feeling of lightness and comfort during sports practice.
The air cavity inside the XTRA-THERMIC fibers functions as a small insulating air chamber to maintain body temperature in all circumstances.
