Active agricultural mulches with antifungal properties

The new active mulching film with antifungal properties has reduced the incidence of the fungus Botrytis Cinerea by up to 40% for strawberry cultivation.
As part of the Agoractifilm project, NUREL together with Reyenvas has developed a new film specially designed to prevent fungal diseases in strawberry cultivation. One of these diseases is caused by the fungus Botrytis Cinerea, which causes gray mold and fruit rot.
Thanks to NUREL’s R&D advances, it has been possible to develop a film that releases antifungal substances capable of reducing fruit losses by up to 40%.
