NUREL completes phase III of its energy storage installation project

16/10/2025

NUREL, committed to energy efficiency and industrial sustainability, has completed Phase III of the energy storage installation project at its facilities in Zaragoza.

This new system will allow the company to optimise electricity consumption, reduce its reliance on the grid, and promote the integration of renewable energies into its production processes.

The Phase III energy storage installation has a total capacity of 4,472 kWh and a power output of 2,236 kW, configured within a single container that integrates all the necessary equipment for the safe and efficient operation of the system.

Thanks to this project, NUREL will be able to manage the energy demand of its production lines more intelligently, storing surpluses generated during periods of low demand and utilising them during times of higher consumption, thus contributing to the decarbonisation of the industrial process and the improvement of its carbon footprint.

The total investment amounts to €1,772,264.98, of which €531,679.49 has been co-financed through a public grant aimed at promoting energy efficiency and sustainability in industry, within the framework of the energy transition support programmes promoted by the Government of Spain and the European Union – Next Generation EU.

With this third phase, NUREL consolidates its energy transition strategy towards a more sustainable, innovative production model that is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the European Green Deal.
