NUREL has just completed a photovoltaic solar power plant for self-consumption, which represents an important step towards meeting our objectives of CO2 emissions reduction by 2020.

The most relevant characteristics of this installation are the optimization of its integration with the industrial complex and the use of all the energy produced for self-consumption without having to be discharged into the electrical grid.

The facility occupies a total extension of 7.7 hectares, of which 3.7 were installed on the roof of the plant’s production buildings. The photovoltaic solar field is made up of 22,568 modules.

NUREL’s photovoltaic solar power plant is among the largest energy self-consumption installations in Europe and will reach an annual electricity production of about 13,000 MWhe. This energy is equivalent to the annual consumption of approximately 4,000 families. With this new plant, NUREL will avoid the emission of 5,200 TmCO2 / into the atmosphere.

This new investment will reinforce not only NUREL’s commitment to the environment and sustainable development, but also it will strength our market position.
