NUREL participates in Plastics & Rubber Spain 2026

17/03/2026

NUREL’s commercial team attended Plastics & Rubber Spain 2026, held in Barcelona on 11–12 March. This event brings together companies, specialists, and professionals from across the plastic and rubber value chain, establishing itself as one of the key industry meeting points in Spain.

What did we showcase at the fair?

At our stand, we presented a wide range of materials for demanding technical applications, including engineering compounds, high-performance polyamides, recycled solutions, and biopolymers. Among them, we highlighted PROMYDE® Advanced Materials, our polyamide family developed for sectors such as automotive, electronics, and consumer goods.

Highlights in PROMYDE®

We demonstrated practical applications of the PROMYDE® family—our high-performance polyamides—including semi-aromatic variants, long-chain grades, and elastomeric grades (PEBA) designed for demanding environments (automotive, electronics, consumer goods).

Sustainable and recycled materials

In addition to high-performance grades, we showcased our range of recycled compounds (Reco-line®) and biopolymers, aligning performance with circular economy principles and recycled content traceability. Visitors had access to technical datasheets and could request updated samples and catalogues.

Technical presentation: case study on HV systems for electric vehicles

During the event, our colleague Álvaro Zorita delivered a technical presentation focusing on a practical case study of high-performance polyamides applied to high-voltage systems in electric vehicles. The study addressed real challenges faced by OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, demonstrating how specific materials can replace metal solutions and improve:

  • Electrical insulation and safety in high-voltage connectors and housings

  • Thermal dissipation and heat management

  • EMI behaviour and shielding requirements

  • Chemical resistance and performance in flammability and fatigue tests

The developments presented were supported by validations in accredited laboratories and in collaboration with sector manufacturers.

Conclusions and next steps

Our presence at Plastics & Rubber Spain 2026 reinforced two clear messages: electric mobility requires materials with very specific technical properties, and the solution lies in compounds designed from polymerisation and compounding through to field validation.

At NUREL, we continue to develop advanced materials that meet the technological and sustainability challenges of the industry.

Participation in Plastics & Rubber Spain 2026 was an opportunity to share technical knowledge, present our advanced solutions, and strengthen collaboration with clients and partners in the sector.
