NUREL at FAKUMA 2026: engineering polymers and advanced materials
20/10/2026
NUREL has successfully concluded its participation in FAKUMA 2026, held in Friedrichshafen, Germany, from 12 to 16 October.
The 30th edition of the international trade fair gave our team the opportunity to reconnect with customers, make new contacts and analyse material requirements for demanding applications in the automotive, electrical, electronics and industrial sectors.
Throughout the week, our technical and sales teams held fruitful discussions with customers, partners and industry professionals regarding current projects, future applications and specific material requirements.
Presentation of NUREL’s engineering polymers portfolio
Visitors to the NUREL stand were able to discover a wide range of solutions:
- PROMYDE® engineering compounds based on PA6 for injection moulding, PA6 for extrusion and PA66 for injection moulding
- OLEXENE® PP compounds
- PROXYLENE® PBT and PET compounds
- PROMYDE® Advanced Materials
- RECO-LINE® recycled technical compounds
- Flame-retardant materials based on different polymer platforms
- Materials for packaging
- Biopolymer solutions
Thanks to a combination of materials development, in-house polymerisation and compounding, NUREL works alongside its customers to identify the most suitable polymer platform for the requirements of each end component.
PROMYDE® Advanced Materials at FAKUMA 2026
One of the highlights of the trade fair was the launch of PROMYDE® Advanced Materials, NUREL’s range of high-performance polyamides for applications where conventional engineering plastics may reach their limits.
The range includes semi-aromatic and high-temperature PPAs, long-chain polyamides, transparent polyamides and elastomeric PEBA. These technologies meet stringent requirements for mechanical strength, dimensional stability, heat resistance, flexibility and optical transparency.
Technical presentations on polymers for high-voltage systems in electric vehicles
Álvaro Zorita Paz gave a presentation entitled “High-Performance Engineering Polymers for EV High-Voltage Systems”, which explored polymeric solutions for applications requiring a combination of high thermal, mechanical and electrical performance, including fire safety, dimensional stability and resistance to heat and moisture.
As a new feature of this year’s event, NUREL also organised a series of short workshops on 13, 14 and 15 October, offering visitors an introduction to the various technologies in the PROMYDE® Advanced Materials range.
Flame-retardant solutions for various polymer platforms
Visitors were also able to find out about NUREL’s flame-retardant materials based on PROMYDE® PA6, PA66 and semi-aromatic PPA, OLEXENE® PP, and PROXYLENE® PBT and PET.
Depending on the grade, the product range includes UL 94 V-0 and V-2 ratings, GWFI values of up to 960 °C, halogen-free formulations, and reinforced or non-reinforced options. Some grades also offer specific properties for electrical, electric mobility and railway applications.
