Dope-Dyed Nylon
Solvent-dyed fibres to reduce the environmental impact of textiles
What is NERIDE Colortech?
NERIDE Colortech is dope-dyed Nylon 6 with high-quality pigments incorporated into the polymer during extrusion to create intrinsically coloured fibers.
By eliminating conventional dyeing, the process
reduces water, chemical and energy consumption.
Available in a wide color range, with custom shades
developed on request
Properties of NERIDE COLORTECH

- EXCELLENT COLOUR FASTNESS: colours that last over time
- AVAILABLE IN RECYCLED NYLON: available in GRS-certified recycled PA6
- LOWER CHEMICAL AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION: simplified production process
- OPTIMISED TEXTILE PROCESSING: eliminating the dyeing stage streamlines production and improves efficiency
SAVINGS IN WATER, ENERGY AND REDUCTION OF POLLUTING SUBSTANCES
In the textile industry, the dyeing process is the one that has the greatest negative impact on the environment, due to the large amount of chemicals, water and energy it uses. If we eliminate dyeing from the textile production chain by using mass-dyed fibers, the process is simplified and consequently the environmental footprint is reduced.
Fabrics manufactured with COLOURED by NUREL do not require any dyeing process and, therefore, save water and energy and reduce the use of environmentally harmful chemicals.
Another aspect to consider when evaluating the environmental footprint of a garment is durability. Mass-dyed fibers have high color fastness and resistance to washing, giving garments high durability, thus reducing their environmental impact.
