NUREL is taking part in the DALAZ project

06/05/2026

The DALAZ project is a Spanish industrial research initiative aimed at revolutionising electromobility through the development of more sustainable, efficient and cost-effective lithium-sulphur batteries.

The consortium of which NUREL is a member, led by Avanzare Materials in partnership with CETIM and RIMSA, aims to develop batteries with high energy density, durability and stability under real-world conditions, with a project duration of 36 months and funding from the European Union’s ERDF.

  • Project title: DALAZ: Revolutionising the electromobility sector: research into disruptive materials and electrochemical formulations for efficient, cost-effective and sustainable lithium-sulphur batteries.
  • Reference: CPP2024-011797
  • Objective: to develop innovative electrochemical materials and formulations for lithium-sulphur batteries, with a view to finding a more environmentally friendly alternative to conventional lithium-ion batteries.
  • Project CPP2024-011797, funded by MICIU/AEI /10.13039/501100011033 and by the ERDF, EU
