PA, PBT, and PP for the manufacturing of appliance components
NUREL offers a wide range of engineering compounds for appliance component manufacturing. In addition to our PA and PBT grades, which cater to high technical requirements, we have introduced a new range of PP for less critical parts.
PROMYDE®: PA 6 for electrical and electromagnetic shielding
Promyde PA grades provide solutions with high mechanical strength, dimensional stability, thermal resistance, thermal insulation, flame retardancy, and electrical insulation for challenging applications.
Promyde® offers a wide range of flame retardant polyamide products for these challenging applications. The Promyde PA6 and PA66 range includes unreinforced and reinforced grades with fiberglass or mineral fillers.
In addition, Promyde offers solutions for all required flame retardancy levels, from the most basic to the most demanding, with a V0 at UL94 and a flammability index of glow wire (GWFI) of up to 960°C. These excellent flame retardant properties cover all the needs of electrical and electronic applications. These products are characterized by a high CTI of up to 600V and compliance with IEC 60335 for appliances operating without supervision and and GWIT 775 (IEC 60695-2-13) for high voltage appliances.
PROXYLENE®: PBT compounds for appliances
Proxylene PBT compounds are known for their high mechanical strength, dimensional and thermal stability, chemical resistance, easy processing, excellent electrical insulation, and resistance to high temperatures. They are used in manufacturing appliance casings, structural parts, gears, and electrical components for appliances like dryers, washing machines, dishwashers, small appliances, and kitchen equipment, providing durability and longevity in domestic environments.
NUREL also offers PBT reinforced with steel fibers to enhance electrical conductivity and electromagnetic emissions shielding, achieving UL94 V0 classification. This product achieves V0 UL94 classification.

OLEXENE®: PP compounds for appliances
The new Olexene range offers a wide variety of lightweight and easily processable Polypropylene compounds with and without reinforcement for the manufacturing of complex parts.
It is used in appliance casings, functional parts, and non-critical components.
