ENOXITE® SMOKE is an innovative range of high-performance technical polymers, specially formulated for the manufacture of permeable casings (casings for smoked foods), in combination with polyamide.
These polymers are designed to maximise the absorption of smoke components and water vapour. This results in deeper smoking, a more intense colour and exceptional flavour in your products.
Our technology focuses on optimising permeability to smoke and vapour, whilst maintaining the barrier properties necessary to protect the food from other external factors.

The casings used for smoked meats, cheeses and other products must allow for controlled permeability to smoke and water vapour.
This specific porosity contributes to the development of flavour and colour, whilst helping to preserve the freshness and original quality of the product.
ENOXITE SMOKE®: Gas Permeability Values
To achieve the necessary smoke penetration in smoked meat production, a blend of PA with 20–30% Enoxite Smoke S30 is recommended. The WVTR and OTR values for S30 blended with PA6 at 20% and 30% concentrations are shown here, compared with the permeability of 100% PA6. These products can also be combined with copolyamides (explore our Promyde packaging portfolio).
