PA, PBT AND PET AUTOMOTIVE COMPOUNDS
The mobility and transport sector has always been a leader in innovation for mechanical developments and process performance improvements. Thanks to our engineering polymers range, NUREL is part of this continuous development race with our offer in PA6, PA66, PBT and PET.
In recent years, the way we travel has changed, and with it, the materials that enable mobility.. Within these materials, engineering polymers have to be adapted to meet new standards and requirements to meet new automotive challenges.
With an eye on the new mobility, our product offering is focused on helping manufacturers achieve highly demanded objectives in the sector, such as: fuel consumption reduction, emissions reduction and dynamic performance, as well as to reduce costs in manufacturing processes.
NUREL supports the automotive and transportation industry in general by developing a more sustainable materials offer, with the aim of reducing dependence on fossil materials, promoting circularity and reducing CO2 emissions.
Materials adapted to future vehicle design
NUREL offers PA, PBT and PET based engineering polymers to suit the technical requirements of the automotive industry, featuring hydrolysis resistant grades, conductive and reinforced polyamides for metal substitution, and weight reduction.
Our grades are designed to provide excellent dimensional stability, reduce cycle times and production costs, thanks to our High Flow range of high fluidity products.
One of the fundamental aspects in vehicle design are the finishes, as they determine the user experience and the perceived quality of the materials. NUREL provides diverse solutions for the interior and exterior finishing of vehicles, which achieve an excellent surface finish, both in reinforced and non-reinforced grades.
FASTER, LIGHTER, GREENER, AND BETTER
Mobility and transportation industry is evolving towards a more sustainable model. The implementation and proliferation of electric vehicles in our daily lives is a reality, as they favor the reduction of emissions and dependence on fossil fuels. In addition, the new “mobility” requires more circular models, involving waste reduction and encouraging the use of recycled and recyclable materials. Thus, one of the industry’s challenges for 2023 is to reach 30% recycled content in its vehicles.
PA and PBT-based engineered compounds are a solution to the need to replace conventional materials with lighter ones, while maintaining the same technical performance.
Recycled PA6 and PA66 compounds
In order to meet the requirements of the automotive industry in terms of sustainability and eco-design, NUREL is expanding and optimizing its compounding, re-grinding and recycling production lines to offer a new range of engineered compounds based on recycled polyamides: Recomyde®.
