Among all the plastic products that are recycled each year,flexible packaging accounts for an increasing volume in the recycling loop. However, because the volume of plastic material used is smaller than in rigid packaging, its revaluation is less competitive, making composting an ideal alternative for the recovery of this type of structure.

For the application of Flow Pack, INZEA offers a wide range of biodegradable and compostable biopolymers. with equivalent properties to conventional plastics, giving the final product transparency, rigidity, food contact, oxygen barrier, or light barrier, in addition to a good performance in refrigeration and freezing.

Compostable biopolymers for rapid packaging

INZEA’s biopolymers serve as a replacement for conventional LDPE, HDPE or BOPPstructures and can be processed in traditional single and multilayer film extrusion facilities, achieving similar oxygen transmission rates (OTR) to EVOH in combination with other materials by co-extrusion.

Furthermore, the product in its final application can bebiodegradable and compostable, both in industrial and domestic conditions, having obtained the HOME Compost and OK Compost certification.
