BIOPOLYMERS FOR SHRINK FILM FOR FRUIT AND VEGETABLES

MATERIALS FOR COMPOSTABLE SHRINK FILM FOR FRUIT AND VEGETABLES

Environmental pollution caused by food waste is becoming more and more pressing. In order to minimise this problem, packaging that extends the best-before date of foodstuffs is used. In addition, new government regulations are focused on reducing the amount of plastic used in packaging to make it more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

With the aim of reducing food waste through sustainable packaging, INZEA, with its range of compostable and biodegradable biopolymers, offers a sustainable solution for the production of shrink film as an alternative to conventional plastic materials. These films help preserve the freshness of fruits and vegetables and can be disposed of together with the organic food waste they contain.

Compostable Biopolymers for Shrink Film

INZEA’s biopolymers contribute to reducing dependence on fossil-based materials, as they have mechanical properties equivalent to LDPE and HDPE, and can be processed on conventional equipment, both for film manufacture and final packaging.

INZEA FRUIT AND VEGETABLE FILM APPLICATIONS

Biopolymers for fruit and vegetable shrink film have properties that allow them to be heat shrinkable and adhere to the food by heat shrinkage, thus improving the shelf life of the food.

In addition, films made with INZEA have a high degree of transparency that allows the state of the food they contain to be seen.

WHAT IS INZEA?
