Among the many benefits of INZEA’s biopolymers for the manufacture of compostable trays and lids, the following stand out:

  • Heat resistance, as the use of INZEA HT biopolymers allows freshly cooked food to be placed on the trays and can even be used in ovens and microwaves.
  • Barrier solutions, which allow the correct and prolonged preservation of foodstuffs by providing a barrier to oxygen.
  • Sealing, to prevent the contents from overflowing the packaging, the trays require a sealing film with a certain strength. In addition, INZEA is self-sealable, so that when used as a lamination and lid there is no need for additional materials.
  • Food contact, to maintain food safety, INZEA has certified grades for food contact. Thanks to this property, paper and cardboard trays can be used to contain all kinds of foodstuffs.
  • Transparency, in order to be able to see the contents of the tray at a glance.
