Compostable labels for fruits
Compostable and food-safe labels
One of the uses of INZEA® biopolymers is the application of labels specifically formulated for fresh fruit (apples, bananas, pears, citrus fruits) that combine food compatibility, flexibility and processability for high-performance production lines. Available in grades L10 (highly stretchable), L20 (excellent cut at low grammage) and F18P (paper-like appearance, uncoated).
Highly stretchable fruit labels with excellent printability and a design optimised for high-speed production. Certified for industrial and domestic composting.
Why choose INZEA® for your fruit labels?
INZEA biopolymers are the perfect material for fruit labelling solutions due to their main advantages:
Suitable for food contact according to EN 10/2011.
Compostable: certified for industrial and domestic composting.
High elasticity and flexibility: adapts to curved surfaces and produces fewer detachments.
Excellent printability: compatible with compostable inks and compostable colour masterbatches.
Precise cutting at high speed: focused on industrial production of stickers and labels.
Finish options: from paper look (F18P) to ultra-stretch formulations (L10).
Technical specifications
INZEA® compostable labels for fruit have been developed to offer a sustainable and efficient solution for identifying fresh produce such as apples, bananas, pears and citrus fruits.
Its formulation is certified for both industrial and domestic composting, guaranteeing safe biodegradation without leaving toxic residues, and complies with food contact standard EN 10/2011, ensuring reliable use in the agri-food sector.
These labels stand out for their flexibility and stretchability, allowing them to easily adapt to the shape of the fruit, as well as for their excellent printability with compostable inks and masterbatches and their precise cutting even on high-speed lines, ensuring efficiency in demanding production environments.
The range includes three main grades: L10, specially stretchable for fruits with curved surfaces; L20, which offers exceptional cutting performance at low grammage with greater moisture resistance; and F18P, with a paper-like finish that is grease and moisture resistant without the need for coatings.
Thanks to these properties, INZEA® enables producers and distributors to optimise their processes, comply with regulatory requirements and reinforce their commitment to sustainability, offering consumers a safe, functional and environmentally friendly label.
