Are they suitable for food contact?

Yes, INZEA fruit labels are formulated to be suitable for contact with food in accordance with EN 10/2011.

What does ‘industrial compostable’ vs. ‘domestic compostable’ mean?

Industrial: controlled conditions (higher temp./humidity) > ≥90% biodegradation in ≤6 months.

Domestic: biodegradation in domestic soil ->≥90% in 24 months.

Are they compatible with compostable inks?

Yes, INZEA fruit labels are formulated to be compatible with compostable inks and masterbatches; we recommend a pilot test on your line.

Do they leave any residue after composting?

Tests indicate that they leave no toxic residues and comply with particle limits (>2 mm <10% according to protocol).
