INZEA offers a sustainable solution for flexible packaging for liquids that allows the waste to be managed in home composting or in an industrial composting plant at the end of its life cycle. Composting is the ideal solution to recover this type of waste, as it contains organic remains and its recycling is more complex.
INZEA for the replacement of rigid packaging
INZEA offers a OK compost HOME certified and biodegradable solution, which makes it possible to replace rigid packaging with flexible packaging, thus reducing the carbon footprint in transport. This material is suitable for application in liquid contents such as milk or other fresh and refrigerated liquids.
Its processing and mechanical properties are similar to those of polyethylene, both in blown extrusion and flat sheet extrusion (cast). Other highlights of compostable films for liquids are that they are sealable and can also be fully or partially printed to make them more attractive on the supermarket shelf.

INZEA’s compostable films for the manufacture of flexible packaging for refrigerated liquids maintain their mechanical properties in the fridge throughout the entire product life cycle. They are also Food contact certified.
The most common applications for this type of flexible compostable solutions are:

- Flexible packaging for fresh cheeses such as mozzarella cheese
- Flexible packaging for creams and sauces
* A finished product made of certified raw materials or components, does not automatically comply with the requirements of the relevant certification scheme.
